  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field. Related field is a Baccalaureate or advanced degree with a program of study that includes 7 or more courses in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (21) hours.
  • Experience: One (1) year working with preschool children.


  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. Current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential Infant & Toddler. 
  • Experience: One (1) year experience working with infants and toddlers.


Primary function is to assist the Teacher in providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment that fosters children’s growth and development in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards.

  • Education:  High School Diploma or Equivalent.  A current Child Development Associate (CDA credential in Preschool.
  • Experience: (1) One year working with preschool children.


  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience: One (1) year custodial or related work experience preferred 

NUTRITION AIDES (6-hour workday):

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience: One (1) year working in food preparation. Food handlers Permit required (training available to require certification by a specified timeframe)


ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk or sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
