Greetings!

You made it through the week and the first day of Spring! March has been an exciting month at PCI! From Read Across America and Nutrition Staff Recognition, to CLASS videos, Spring Break, Champions for Charity, preparing for Teacher and Teacher Assistant of the Year, announcing our new Kindergarten program, and launching our Annual Self-Assessment—not to mention our energizing Wellness Wednesdays—there is certainly a lot to celebrate!

To prepare for the new Kindergarten program, we are launching a Pilot in our Preschool Head Start classrooms beginning April 13th, with a strong focus on student attendance. Attendance is critical—not only to ensure children fully benefit from our services, but also because it directly impacts PCI’s funding. This Pilot will allow us to test systems, identify challenges early, and strengthen our processes to ensure a smooth and successful Kindergarten launch.

As we approach the end of the Head Start school year, don’t miss the opportunity to apply for Class 9 of Leadership PCI. Additional details are included later in this message. Growth Mindset Quote: “We may not be there yet, but we are always growing, learning, and improving—one step at a time.”
