embarked on her first job and first day of work on June 27, 1979, and has been part of Parent/Child Incorporated ever since. She came to PCI planning to work for the summer months and wound up staying for 45 years. Mrs. Bedoy, a divorced mother of one son at the time, came to be employed with Parent/Child Incorporated through the WIN program, which offered job training and possible job placement to young women wanting to get off of welfare. She started as a clerk typist in the purchasing department that only had a department supervisor employed at the time. She worked hard to adapt to the fast-paced office of a new agency providing Head Start services and worked in the department over the years being promoted to the position of Procurement Manager working directly with vendors on maintenance and supplies needed, responsible for the warehouse and assisted with training center managers and administrative staff on purchasing procedures before working Public Relations for a year. In that year she was the reporter for the staff newsletter, coordinated the special activities for the agency and scheduled TV spots for the Executive Director on local morning shows. Mrs. Bedoy transferred to the Head Start Operations Department becoming the Operations Coordinator working under the Head Start Director where she assisted with the policy council, handling of employee and parent concerns for the Head Start Director, and eventually managing the operations of the office and assisting with aspects of the center operations component. She used the vast knowledge and skills gained through the years and holding various positions to transfer to the Executive Director’s office to become the Executive Secretary where she worked with the first-level executives, the board of directors, provided training to clerical staff, assisted with preparation of proposals and all tasks associated with managing the office and was promoted to Office Manager/Executive Secretary.  Mrs. Bedoy is currently an executive working directly under the Chief Executive Officer/HS/EHS Director and is responsible for managing the CEO Office, leases, contracts, the Policy Council, assisting the CEO with the Board of Directors, and serves as a Facilitator for the CEO’s Leadership PCI. She has been a member of the Texas Head Start Association since 1992 and has served on the board of directors as a member, Secretary and also served on the scholarship and finance committees. Mrs. Bedoy has also served as a member of the Region VI Head Start Association’s board of directors as an alternate representing the State of Texas and is also a member of the National Head Start Association. She has served on various committees throughout the years including conference-planning committees. The hours of training received through Parent/Child Incorporated and at the state, regional and national level are vast, and the knowledge obtained has been beneficial not only to her job, but also beneficial to her staff, management, co-workers, and those she provides training and technical assistance to. 

serves as the Human Resource Coordinator for Parent/Child Incorporated since August 20, 1979 where she started as the Human Resources Clerk. Ms. Vogt is responsible for monitoring local and federal policies that directly impact the Human Resources Department.  Ms. Vogt attended Wayland Baptist University where she studied in Human Resources Management. Ms. Vogt has more than 34 years of experience in Human Services. Over the years, she has received numerous accolades for her work ethics and customer service skills.Ms. Vogt was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and is a graduate of Edgewood High School. Ms. Vogt has been married to George Vogt for 35 years and has three (3) children; all who were Head Start children which include a daughter who has served 14 years in the United States Marine Corp. She also has six (6) wonderful grandchildren, two who are currently attending Early Head Start and one who is a former Head Start child.

Lisa Walker – Education Coordinator: Lisa Ann Walker is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Walker has more than (37) years of experience in working for Head Start programs. Ms. Walker has held various jobs during her tenure with Head Start, from parent substitute, teacher aide, teacher, director, and coordinator. Ms. Walker started with Parent Child Incorporated in August of 2012, as a Rotation Specialist, implementing STEM activities in the Head Start Classrooms. Later, she became a S.T.E.A.M., C.L.A.S.S., Curriculum and Training Coordinator, continuing to focus on STEAM, CLASS, and Practice Base Coaching for our agency. Currently, she holds the position of Education Coordinator. This position is responsible for conducting onsite monitoring visits to Head Start/Early Head Start sites, conducting CLASS observations, coaching, mentoring, and senior management, as well as monitoring and ensuring compliance with all Head Start performance standards.

Mrs. Walker has a Masters in Early Childhood Education and is a CLASS PRE-K Certified Trainer.

During his career with PCI Mr. Segura started as a Head Start father and held various positions such as Family Service Worker, Health Services Coordinator, Adjunct Services Director to currently Compliance Officer. Mr. Segura also served as a Federal Head Start Reviewer. Mr. Segura is also a Head Start ERSEA and Family Engagement Credential Trainer.As a Compliance Officer, Mr. Segura works in establishing a monitoring protocol that meets local, state and federal guidelines. He ensures that all PCI facilities are safe and environmentally healthy for children, families and staff. Also, Mr. Segura oversees the CACFP Food Program and Transportation Services. Mr. Segura is a lifelong resident of San Antonio, graduated from Edgewood High School, received his Associate degree from St. Philips College and is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Education.

is a native San Antonian, who has devoted her career working in the non-profit human services field. She has over 30 years of financial management experience. As the Fiscal Manager she is responsible for the financial leadership of the agency. McGarity-Diaz previously served on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of San Antonio. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The University of the Incarnate Word.

joined Parent/Child Incorporated (PCI) in September of 1995, working in various departments within the agency, including Compliance Monitoring and essentially working with Day Care Homes and Centers. After successful years of monitoring sponsored Child Care Centers and Day Care Homes, Ms. Castillo was promoted to Day Care Homes Coordinator, where she managed various Day Care Homes within the City of San Antonio and Bexar County. After 18 years of working and expanding her expertise in CACFP (Child and Adult Care Program), in August 2015, Ms. Castillo was promoted to CACFP Nutrition Services Manager, where she manages the entire operations of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to include Day Care Homes and Child Care Centers. Ms. Castillo has over 35 years of experience working in a non-profit organization. She is a proud product of the Edgewood Independent School District, where she graduated from Memorial High School. She furthered her education and received a Baccalaureate Degree in Applied Science from the University of the Incarnate Word. She has received numerous certifications from the Institute of Child Nutrition, including several USDA Professional Standards Code(s) such as Menu Planning, Food Production, General Nutrition, Communication and Marketing, Program Management, and Human Resources & Staff Training.
