The Southwest Independent School District's School Aged Parenting Program (SAPP) is a specialized initiative aimed at providing vital assistance and support to teenage parents, enabling them to remain in school, graduate successfully, and prepare for future career or higher education opportunities. Utilizing a comprehensive case management approach, the SWISD SAPP offers an array of support services to address the unique challenges faced by teenage parents in attaining their high school diploma.

The services offered by SWISD SAPP encompass the following:

Collaboration with Parent Child Inc. (PCI) to ensure access to reliable childcare services. Provision of academic postpartum education for a period of six weeks following childbirth.

Availability of a Parenting Class, which not only imparts valuable parenting knowledge but also earns academic credit.

Homebound Teacher services, catering to the educational needs of teen parents who may require learning assistance outside of the traditional school setting. Involvement with Communities In School, providing access to a Project Access Counselor who offers individual and group therapy sessions to address the emotional and psychological well-being of teen parents. The SWISD SAPP stands as a testament to the district's commitment to supporting teenage parents on their educational journey, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to overcome obstacles and achieve success.

Congratulations to all the graduates, and may they embark on a promising future filled with success and fulfillment!
