I hope your week has been productive. Can you believe it is October already? October is Head Start Awareness Month! Please read this special edition and print out for those that may not have access to email.  As we become a Trauma Informed Approach Agency, reflect on the following quote by Fred Rogers: “When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.”

Welcome back to the first day of a new adventure for PCI! We are beginning the school year virtual at least until after Labor Day! I hope you are as ready for this year to begin as I am. I believe change is good and this change could be the first of many changes to come for not only PCI but for education and childcare in general.

I’m emailing you from the NHSA Fall Leadership Institute (Virtual) at the Brady Environmental Resource Center! Due to COVID-19, we could not meet in DC, but virtual is just as good!  COVID-19 has been the focus of all sessions I’ve attended which shows not only has this pandemic impacted PCI and it’s operation, but all Head Start programs in the nation!
